Gilbert homeowners choose Thunderbird Pools and Spas for reliable pool construction, thoughtful remodeling, and backyard transformations that fit the way families live in the East Valley. With more than two decades of experience, our team understands the styles, HOA requirements, and outdoor‑living trends that shape neighborhoods like Power Ranch, Seville, Agritopia, and Val Vista Lakes. We focus on clear communication, quality materials, and designs that hold up in Gilbert’s climate.
Gilbert is known for its family‑friendly neighborhoods and active HOAs, and each community has its own expectations for backyard design. We regularly work in Power Ranch, Seville, Agritopia, Val Vista Lakes, Morrison Ranch, Cooley Station, Layton Lakes, Higley Groves, and The Islands. Whether your project requires HOA approval or specific material guidelines, we help you navigate the process so construction moves smoothly.
Many Gilbert homeowners want a pool that blends modern design with everyday usability. We build pools with baja shelves, integrated spas, shade structures, and turf‑and‑paver layouts that make the backyard more comfortable throughout the year. Water and fire features, LED lighting, and Hayward automation systems are popular additions that bring convenience and style to the space. Every design is tailored to your home, your HOA, and the way you plan to use your backyard.
If you are considering a new build, you can learn more about our process on our New Pool Construction page.
A large number of Gilbert homes were built in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and many of those original pools are ready for updates. Our remodeling work includes PebbleTec resurfacing, tile replacement, new decking, equipment upgrades, and spa additions. Some homeowners choose a full redesign, while others focus on improving efficiency and refreshing the look of an aging pool. No matter the scope, we help you create a modern, low‑maintenance space that fits your home and neighborhood.

Gilbert backyards often serve as gathering spaces for families, so outdoor‑living upgrades are a major part of our work. We build pergolas, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, seating areas, and integrated landscaping that tie the entire yard together. Whether you want a simple update or a complete transformation, we design spaces that feel comfortable, functional, and ready for everyday use.
You can explore these options further on our Backyard Renovations page.
We use materials and equipment from trusted vendors to ensure your pool performs well for years. PebbleTec finishes, NPT tile and decking, Hayward pumps and automation systems, and Noble Tile Supply products are common choices for Gilbert homeowners. These materials hold up well in the heat, meet HOA expectations, and help create a clean, modern look.
Gilbert has some of the most active HOAs in the East Valley, and many projects require design submittals, setback compliance, and safety‑barrier approval. We handle the paperwork, coordinate with your HOA, and manage the Town of Gilbert permit process. Our goal is to keep your project moving without delays or surprises.
Our work in Gilbert ranges from family‑friendly pool builds to complete backyard renovations. Some homeowners choose baja shelf pools with turf‑and‑paver layouts, while others focus on modern remodels with new finishes, updated lighting, and added water or fire features. Every project is designed to match the home and the way the space will be used.
